Top 4: Cool

In de jaren 90 maakte 'cool' als modewoord een flinke opmars in het Nederlands. En het Engels was 'cool' in de betekenis van 'tof' natuurlijk al veel langer gangbaar. In de Top 40 kwamen we in 1970 het woord voor het eerst tegen in een titel.

Dat het woord 'cool' populair is gebleven, blijkt wel uit deze top 4. De vier grootste 'coole' hits komen uit vier verschillende decennia. Opvallend genoeg ontbreken hierin de jaren 90. Dankzij Ur So Fxxking Cool van Tones And I hebben de jaren 20 nu ook hun eerste cool-hit.
