Wist je dat? "I'm just a singer (in a rock and roll band)" was de laatste single van de Moody Blues voorafgaand aan hun vijf jaar onderbreking. Er werd afgesproken dat de bandleden elk hun eigen solocarrière konden opstarten of uitbouwen.

"For my lady" (B-kant van de single) werd geschreven door fluitist en zanger Ray Thomas. Vanwege het complexe karakter van het lied speelden The Moody Blues het nummer alleen live wanneer ze werden ondersteund door een liveorkest, omdat Ray Thomas niet kan zingen en spelen op de fluit op hetzelfde moment.
