Vandaag werd Do They Know It’s Christmas? opgenomen. Vele Britse artiesten leveren een bijdrage aan Band Aid 30. De nieuwe tekst van het nummer is ook bekendgemaakt.
Omdat de opbrengst gaat naar het tegengaan van het Ebola virus, is de tekst zo aangepast dat het daarop van toepassing is. Bono’s beroemde zin Well tonight thank god it’s them, zou daardoor nogal wrang klinken. Die zin is vervangen door: Well tonight we’re reaching out and touching you. Bono zal opnieuw op het nummer te horen zijn. Ook doen onder anderen One Direction, Chris Martin, Ed Sheeran, Olly Murs en Rita Ora mee aan Band Aid 30.
