Sommers herinnert zich dat hij op dat moment zich "vredig, gelukkig en tevreden" met zijn lot in het leven voelde, en begon onderweg wat aantekeningen te krabbelen over zijn gelukzalige toestand. Zij dienden als inspiratie voor de song.
