Deze Belgische New Beat-groep werd eind jaren ’80 opgericht door Jo Bogaert.

Met het nummer Pump Up The Jam maakte de groep zijn debuut van het gelijknamige album. In de studio werd het nummer gerapt door Manuela Kamosi (Ya Kid K), maar op het podium stond Felly Kilingi. De single werd een wereldwijd succes met een verkoop van meer dan 3,5 miljoen exemplaren. De singles die daarna werden uitgebracht zoals, Get Up! (Before The Night Is Over) en This Beat Is Technotronic deden het goed, maar ze konden het succes van de eerste single niet overtreffen. Wel een ander opvallende van dat album was de single Move This. Deze single wordt populair door het gebruik daarvan in de reclame van Revlon in 1992.

Voor het tweede album werd de hulp ingeschakeld van Reggie, één van de dames van de groep Indeep. De verkoop van het album viel echter enorm tegen. Het verkocht niet eens half zo goed als het debuutalbum.

Ze staan in de jaren 90 in het voorprogramma van Madonna’s Blond Ambition Tour.

In 1995 brengen zij hun vijfde album genaamd Recall uit. Uiteindelijk heeft de groep meer dan 14 miljoen albums en singles verkocht.

Songinformatie

Deze single verscheen in 1991 en kwam van het album Body To Body. Réjane Magloire, beter bekend als Reggie, nam de zang voor haar rekening. De single deed het goed in Europa, voornamelijk in Ierland en Zwitserland.

De single is ook gebruikt in de film Let’s Go To Prison met Will Arnett en Dax Shepard.
