De Britse muzikant Tom Grennan viel op bij een vertegenwoordiger van Insanity Records tijdens een optreden in een pub. Zijn grote doorbraak kwam door zijn samenwerking met Chase & Status. Hun single All Goes Wrong werd op de radio uitgekozen als Hottest Record. Hierdoor kwamen er optredens in onder andere BBC Two’s show Later … With Jools Holland. De single kwam in verschillende hitlijsten terecht.

Halverwege 2018 verscheen zijn debuutalbum Lighting Matches. De single Found What I’ve Been Looking For, wat afkomstig is van dit album, is te horen op de FIFA 18-soundtrack en wordt ook gebruikt door Sky Sports als themalied voor Super Sunday en RBI19 Baseball.

Begin maart 2021 verschijnt zijn tweede album Evering Road. In dezelfde maand brengt hij de eerste single van dit album uit genaamd Little Bit Of Love. In juni 2021 slaat hij de handen ineen met Calvin Harris. Samen droppen zij de track By Your Side. Terwijl de track By Your Side nog steeds stevig in de Top 40 staat dropt hij alweer zijn volgende track Don't Break The Heart.

Halverwege maart 2022 dropt hij de single Remind Me.
