De song is vele malen gecoverd. De bekendste en meest succesvolle cover was van Gloria Estefan & The Miami Sound Machine. Deze uitvoering stond 4 weken in de Top 40 met een 33e plaats als hoogste notering. Andere covers zijn o.a. van: Laura Branigan (1990) en rapster Lil Suzy (1994). DJ Jeroen van Inkel gebruikte eind jaren 80 de melodie als jingle voor zijn vrijdagochtendprogramma bij Radio Veronica ter onderbreking van reclame en journaal.
