De drie Ierse heren van The Script scoren in 2008 hun eerste hit in ons land met The Man Who Can’t Be Moved. In 2012 scoren Danny O'Donoghue, Mark Sheehan en Glen Power, samen met Will.I.Am, hun grootste hit in ons land als Hall Of Fame de 17e plaats bereikt.

In september van 2014 verschijnt het vierde studioalbum, No Sound Without Silence. Als voorloper daarvan verschijnt het nummer Superheroes dat Alarmschijf wordt en later hun eerste top 10-hit in ons land. Ook de openingstrack, No Good In Goodbye, wordt in november Alarmschijf en een week later hun negende Top 40-hit.

Terwijl Man On A Wire wordt gepresenteerd als de nieuwe single geven de heren op 20 en 21 maart 2015 twee uitverkochte concerten in de Ziggo Dome. Ook is dan bekend dat ze één van de grote namen op Pinkpop zijn. Op 1 september 2017 verschijnt het vijfde studioalbum van The Script, Freedom Child, met Ra!n en Arms Open als singles.

Halverwege september 2019 keert de band terug met de release van de single The Last Time dat later wordt opgevolgd door Something Unreal.
Na een stilte van twee jaar lanceren de heren in augustus 2021 de single I Want It All. In de zomer van 2022 droppen ze de single Dare You To Doubt Me.
