In 2009 vormen Amy en George Sheppard hun band en krijgen ze versterking van Jay Bovino en later groeit de groep uit tot een formatie van zes als ook Emma Sheppard zich bij de band voegt. In 2013 verschijnt hun eerste single Hold My Tongue, maar het is Geronimo dat in 2014 de eerste plaats van de Australische hitlijst bereikt en Happy van Pharrell Williams van de eerste plaats weet te stoten.
Geronimo is hun eerste hit in de Top 40 en komt op de vierde plaats. De track is, net als de opvolger Let Me Down Easy, afkomstig van het album Bombs Away. Eind 2017 brengt de band met Coming Home weer een nieuwe single uit. Die track komt in de zomer van 2018 opnieuw in de belangstelling als de NOS het nummer gebruikt bij de compilaties van de wedstrijden van het WK Voetbal.
