Samantha Karen Fox, beter bekend als Samantha Fox, zag het licht op 15 april 1966 in Mile End te Londen. Ze werd ontdekt als “Page Three”-girl in de Engelse tabloid The Sun.



Midden jaren 80 brak ze ook als zangeres door dankzij de talenten van songwriters en producers Stock, Aitken, Waterman. Slechts 20 jaar oud veroverde ze de wereld met de hit “Touch Me (I Want Your Body)”. In Nederland werd deze een jaar later overstegen door de hit “Nothing’s Gonna Stop Me Now”, die de 7e plek behaalde in de Top 40. Wereldwijd verkocht ze meer dan 30 miljoen platen.



In 1994 bekeerde ze zich tot het christendom. In 2003 kwam ze middels haar autobiografie uit de kast. Haar partner overleed in 2005 aan de gevolgen van kanker.
