De vierentwintigste James Bond-film, Spectre, draait vanaf 29 oktober 2015 in de Nederlandse bioscopen. Het is de vierde Bond-film waarin de 47-jarige Daniel Craig de hoofdrol van geheim agent 007 speelt. Verder spelen actrices Monica Bellucci en Léa Seydoux mee in de rolprent.
Een ander record dat Spectre breekt, is het aantal kopieën waarin de film in Nederland te zien is. Het nieuwe avontuur van 007 gaat draaien in 323 zalen, meer dan anderhalf keer zoveel als voorganger Skyfall. Dit betekent dat Spectre in de eerste week van de release in bijna de helft van alle commerciële bioscoopzalen van Nederland draait.
De nieuwe Bond-film is genoemd naar het misdaadsyndicaat van Ernst Stavro Blofeld, de grote aartsvijand van de Britse spion.
Sam Smith zingt de titelsong. Het thema, Writing's on the Wall, heeft hij samen met tekstdichter Jimmy Napes geschreven. Laatstgenoemde produceert ook deze opname samen met Sam Smith en Disclosure.
