Zangeres Rikki Borgelt weet zich in goed gezelschap van vier heren die samen de band Rondé. De groep ontstaat in het voorjaar van 2014 op de Herman Brood Academie en bestaat uit Sharon Zarr (drums), Armel Paap (gitarist), Cas Oomen (bas) en Adriaan Persons (toetsen). Al vrij snel staat het gezelschap op het podium van Paradiso en worden ze geselecteerd voor de Popronde.

De band moet snel aan de slag om nummers te produceren, waarvan Run het eerste resultaat is. In het voorjaar van 2015 is We Are One de volgende single. Ondertussen heeft de band een vol programma. Na een korte tour door België in februari zijn ze te zien op de Nederlandse poppodia en staan het Indian Summer Festival en Concert At Sea op de agenda. In de zomer wordt een remix van Run gebruikt in een commercial van Heineken, gemaakt door Marc van Oosterbaan en Ivo de Jong, bekend als East & Young.

In 2016 werkt Rondé met Niels Zuiderhoek, die ook werkte met Kensington en Van Velzen, aan hun debuutalbum dat op 13 januari 2017 verschijnt. Kort na de release wordt Naturally hun eerste Top 40-succes. Ook Headlights en City Lights worden van het album getrokken als singles.

In 2018 werkt de band aan het tweede album dat op 8 maart 2019 verschijnt. Vooruitlopend op dat album verschijnen de singles Calling en Be Mine.
