Divine Ikubor, beter bekend als Rema, is een Nigeriaanse singer-songwriter en rapper. Hij tekende in 2019 een platencontract bij Jonzing World, een dochteronderneming van Mavin Records. Hij verwierf bekendheid doordat zijn single Iron Man in 2019 op de zomerafspeellijst van Barack Obama stond.

Hij bracht zijn gelijknamige debuut-ep Rema uit in 2019. In mei 2021 kondigde Rema aan dat hij zijn sound 'afrorave' gaat noemen, een subgenre van 'afrobeats' met invloeden van Arabische en Indiase muziek. In juli 2021 laat hij van zich horen met de single Soundgasm. Dik een half jaar later volgt Calm Down. Met deze single weet hij een nummer 1-hit te scoren in de Top 40. Door het succes van de single wereldwijd volgt er in augustus 2022 een remix met niemand minder dan Selena Gomez.
