Queens of the Stone Age is een uit de Verenigde Staten afkomstige rockband. De band is in 1996 opgericht door Josh Homme en maakt deel uit van de Palm Desert Scene. Regelmatig veranderd de samenstelling van de band en ook laten zij soms tijdens opnames gastoptredens toe. Het enige vaste lid van de band is oprichter Josh Homme.

In 2017 verscheen het achtste album genaamd Villains.
