De Party Animals (drie gabbers en een hippie) waren voor het eerst te zien in de videoclip bij I Wanna Be A Hippy van Technohead. Producers Jeroen Flamman en Jeff 'Abraxas' Porter bouwden er een act omheen, en werden zo pioniers van de kortstondige Happy Hardcore-rage midden jaren '90.

Met hun eerste drie singles (Have You Ever Been Mellow, Hava Naquila en Aquarius) weten ze in 1996 op nummer één te komen in de Top 40. Een unicum voor een Nederlandse act.

In 1997 volgen nog twee top 10-hits met We Like To Party en Atomic, maar daarna is het grote succes snel over.

Flamman en Abraxas blijven in de jaren na het succes optreden met de Party Animals, met steeds wisselende 'gabbers' op het podium.
