Panic! At The Disco is een Amerikaanse rockband uit Las Vegas opgericht in 2004. De band werd onder de naam "Summer League" opgericht door Ryan Ross en Spencer Smith. Ze speelden covers van Blink-182, met Brent Wilson en hun vriend Trevor. Later kwam ook zanger Brendon Urie bij de band.



Ze brachten hun eerste demos uit terwijl ze nog op de middelbare school zaten. Kort daarna bracht de band zijn debuut studio album, A Fever You Can Not Sweat Out uit in 2005. Met hun hit single I Write Sins Not Tragedies was het album dubbel platina verklaard in de Verenigde Staten. In 2006 werd de oprichter en bassist Brent Wilson ontslagen uit de band tijdens een uitgebreide wereldtournee, en later vervangen door Jon Walker. Ook verliet Ryan Ross de band in 2009.



In 2015 verliet ook Smith officieel de band. Hierdoor bleef alleen zanger Brendon Urie als enige oprichter nog over. In april 2015 werd het nummer Hallelujah uitgebracht als eerste single van Panic! at the Disco's vijfde studioalbum, Death of a Bachelor. Op 15 januari 2016 kwam dit album uit. Dit album bevat 11 nieuwe nummers waaronder Death of a Bachelor, Victorious en Emperor's New Clothes". De videoclip voor Emperor's New Clothes is een directe opvolging van de videoclip van het voorgaande nummer This Is Gospel, en laat zien wat er gebeurt nadat Urie in de vorige clip deze wereld verlaat.

Tijdens concerten wordt Urie vergezeld door drummer Dan Pawlovich, bassist Nicole Row en gitarist Mike Naran. Op het album Pray For The Wicked, dat in 2018 verschijnt, staan elf tracks waarvan High Hopes één van de populairste nummers wordt. Als opvolger wordt Hey Look Ma, I Made It, in het voorjaar van 2019 gekozen.
