De zusjes Lisa, Amy en Shelley Vol beginnen in 2007 als groep met hun deelname aan het Junior Songfestival. Met hun eigen nummer Adem In Adem Uit winnen ze de Nederlandse voorronde en eindigen ze op het Junior Eurovisiesongfestival als 11e. In 2008 en 2011 brengen ze twee albums uit, 300% en Sweet 16.
In 2014 veranderen ze hun naam in O’G3NE en doen ze auditie bij The Voice Of Holland. In die tv-talentenjacht zijn ze het eerste trio ooit dat auditie doet. Ze doen hun auditie met Emotion, dat twee keer eerder in de Top 40 stond dankzij Samantha Sang (#32 in 1978) en Destiny's Child (#7 in 2001). De dames winnen het programma met Magic, dat later Alarmschijf wordt en in 2015 hun eerste Top 40-hit. Later dat jaar verschijnen Cold, Wings To Fly en de kersttrack The Power Of Christmas.
In 2017, als de apostrof uit de naam is verdwenen, vertegenwoordigt OG3NE ons land tijdens het 62e Eurovisiesongfestival in Kiev. Het nummer Lights And Shadows wordt begin maart gepresenteerd als de Nederlandse inzending. Het nummer is een ode aan hun zieke moeder en een nummer dat iedereen die zich in die situatie herkent positieve energie moet geven. In Kiev eindigen ze op de 11e plaats. In het najaar brengen ze de track But I Do uit waaraan ook Zara Larsson heeft meegeschreven.
In mei van 2018 is Clouds Across The Sun hun volgende single.
