Canadese rockband die begin deze eeuw in 2001 voor het eerst opduikt in de Top 40 met de hit How You Remind Me wat meteen een top 10-hit wordt. De band met als zanger Chad Kroeger scoort grote hits met singles als Rockstar, Photograph en Far Away en is vandaag de dag nog steeds actief als band.

Nickelback is een van de meest succesvolle Canadese bands, met meer dan 50 miljoen verkochte albums wereldwijd. Het is na The Beatles de best verkopende buitenlandse act in de Verenigde Staten in de jaren 2000. Volgens het tijdschrift Billboard is Nickelback de beste rockband van het afgelopen decennium. De band staat echter ook bekend als de meest gehate band ter wereld,[ en in 2013 verkozen lezers van het muziekblad Rolling Stone de band tot de op een na slechtste band uit de jaren 90.
