De dj, geboren als Boris Daenen, ontleent zijn naam aan een computervirus. Na verschillende pogingen sleept hij in 2009 een platencontract binnen bij Hospital Records en weet hij op te vallen als talent. Met Moving With You scoort hij een hit in België en dan is al duidelijk dat de dj een voorkeur heeft voor drum and bass. Het is het begin van een loopbaan waarin hij remixen maakt voor artiesten als Jessie J en de Swedish House Mafia. Ook is hij te zien op festivals als Pukkelpop, Tomorrowland en Lowlands.


In 2012 brengt hij een opvolger van zijn debuutalbum Netsky, getiteld 2. De openingstrack van dat album, Love Has Gone, wordt Dance Smash bij 538 en komt in de Tipparade terecht. In België heeft Netsky al verscheidene hits op zijn naam geschreven, waaronder Running Low (met Beth Ditto) dat op nummer 1 kwam in 2014. In 2017 maakt hij met zijn landgenoot Lost Frequencies de track Here With You.

Aan het einde van oktober 2020 verschijnt zijn album Second Nature met daarop ook de track Let Me Hold You, een samenwerking met Hybrid Minds.
