Love Unlimited werd geformeerd door componist, producer Barry White begin jaren zeventig van de vorige eeuw. De damesgroep bestond uit:
Glodean James (de latere vrouw van Barry White)
Linda James (zus van Glodean)
Diane Taylor
Hun eerste hit was Walkin' in the Rain with the One I Love, in Nederland goed voor een 15e plaats in de Top 40. In Amerika kwam het nummer tot de 14e plaats. Daarna bleven de dames verstoken van hits in Nederland tot in 1981. Een track van het album Love Is Back uit 1979, I'm so glad that I'm a woman, werd in 1981 hun grootste Top 40 hit. De ex-alarmschijf steeg tot de 2e plaats in de Top 40. Paul de Leeuw maakte erin 1994 een cover van met Ik ben zo blij dat ik een vrouw ben. Deze versie was met de dubbele A-kant Ik wil niet dat je liegt, goed voor een 1e plaats in de Top 40.
Diane Taylor overleed op 29 november 1985 op 38-jarige leeftijd aan de gevolgen van kanker.
