De Britse Lily Rose Beatrice Allen brengt in 2006 haar eerste album, Alright Still uit. Smile wordt in augustus van dat jaar haar eerste hit in Nederland en bereikt de top 10.

In 2009,als het album It’s Not Me, It’s You verschijnt, scoort ze met The Fear haar tweede notering. De opvolger, F**k You, bereikt de derde plaats. In september laat de zangeres weten dat ze geen nieuwe albums meer zal uitbrengen. De zangeres is ontevreden over de gang van zaken in de muziekindustrie en is bang dat ze geen geld meer kan verdienen.

In 2013 is de zangeres weer actief. Zo staat ze, als Lily Rose Cooper, opnieuw in de Top 40. Met True Love, een hit voor P!nk, scoort ze haar zesde hit in ons land. In november zingt ze het nummer Somewhere Only We Know, dat voor een commercial wordt gebruikt. De single bereikt de eerste plaats in de Britse en Ierse hitlijst. Een week later verschijnt Hard Out There, het nummer dat ook in Nederland een hit wordt.
