Leonie Meijer studeerde aan het Amsterdamse conservatorium en weet in 2010 de kwartfinale te bereiken bij de Grote Prijs van Nederland. Later dat jaar neemt ze deel aan The Voice Of Holland waar ze als vierde eindigt. Met Lost In Yesterday, haar finalenummer, weet ze een kleine hit te scoren in de Top 40, begin 2011. Een paar maanden later scoort ze met haar voormalige Voice-coach Jeroen Van Der Boom een hit met Los Van De Grond. Die single komt op nummer 13 en wordt haar grootste succes in ons land. In het najaar verschijnt haar debuutalbum, Los. Van dat album weten Schaduw en Hey de Top 40 te bereiken. Niemand Als Jij en Wacht Tot Ik Bij Je Ben zijn daarna singles die in de Tipparade blijven steken.

In 2014 maakt Meijer weer Engelstalige nummers, waarbij Won’t Come Out snel wordt opgepikt mede dankzij de uitvoering waarop ook Brainpower te horen is.

In 2017 tourt Leonie met haar derde tour langs de Nederlandse theaters. Daarbij staat haar reis door de Verenigde Staten centraal waarbij ze intieme optredens gaf in cafés in Nashville en Memphis. In oktober verschijnt haar single Life Goes On.
