De Franse Kungs is geboren als Brunel Valentin en timmert al een paar jaar aan de weg. Zo leverde hij voor Omi een remix van Midnight Serenade en verscheen in 2015 To Describe You, een samenwerking met Mozambo en Molly.
In 2016 neemt hij This Girl, origineel van het Australische trio Cookin’ On 3 Burners uit 2009, onder handen. Op de opvolger, Don't You Know, werkt hij samen met de Brit Jamie N Commons. In Frankrijk bereikt het nummer de top 5 waar het in ons land blijft steken in de Tipparade.
In de zomer van 2017 werkt Kungs samen met Olly Murs en Coely op de track More Mess.
Na wat rustigere jaren dropt hij in juni 2021 de zomerse track Never Going Home. In oktober laat hij weer van zich horen met de track Lipstick.
