Blue Guitar is eigenlijk een solosingle van Justin Hayward die uit de kast werd gehaald toen er ter promotie van het album Blue Jays een tweede single nodig was. Het nummer is opgenomen met en door 10CC (halverwege hoor je duidelijk het gitaargeluid van Eric Stewart); dat is eigenlijk vreemd, want er ging het gerucht dat juist Lodge zou overstappen naar 10CC na hun breuk.
