De broers Kevin, Joe en Nick vormen in 2005 de groep Jonas Brothers en via Disney Channel weten ze in no-time bekend te worden. In een tijdsbestek van drie jaar brengen ze een viertal albums uit en in 2008 slepen ze een Grammy-nominatie binnen als beste nieuwkomer. Dat jaar maken ze met S.O.S. hun debuut in de Top 40. Opvolgers als Burnin’ Up, When You Loom Me In The Eyes en Paranoid blijven daarna steken in de Tipparade.

De broers besluiten in 2010 een pauze in te lassen en hoewel ze in 2012 plannen hebben voor een nieuw album blijkt op 29 oktober 2013 dat de groep is gestopt. Joe gaat verder in de groep DNCE waar Nick in 2016 zijn samenwerking met Tove Lo, Close, tot in de Tipparade weet te brengen. Kevin is op zijn beurt bezig als ondernemer.

In 2019 kondigt het trio aan weer bij elkaar te zijn en dan brengen ze met Sucker ook een nieuwe single uit. Van het album Happiness Begins is Only Human de volgende single van de broers. Voor de feestdagen brengen ze in november de track Like It's Christmas uit voordat ze met What A Man Gotta Do opnieuw de hitlijst bestormen. In mei verschijnt X, een samenwerking met Karol G.
De broers zijn druk met hun soloprojecten, maar in mei 2021 is er tijd voor een samenwerking met Marshmello. Samen droppen zij het catchy nummer Leave Before You Love Me.
