Dan Reynolds is het herkenbare stemgeluid achter de Amerikaanse groep Imagine Dragons, waarin ook Ben McKee, Wayne Sermon en Dan Platzman spelen. De groep krijgt snel bekendheid door bijdragen aan games, commercials en tv-programma’s. Zo is het nummer Radioactive terug te horen in het spel Assassin’s Creed III en bij de tv-serie Arrow.

In 2013 is On Top Of The World Alarmschijf en is het nummer, naast te horen in een commercial voor de Samsung Galaxy Note, ook te vinden in de populaire FIFA-game. De single zorgt voor hun debuut in de Top 40 en bereikt de tiende plaats.

Ook de daaropvolgende singles, It's Time en Demons, worden Alarmschijf en komen in de lijst terecht.

In 2014 maken ze het nummer Warriors voor het spel League Of Legends en eind oktober verschijnt I Bet My Life, dat Alarmschijf wordt en hun vierde Top 40-hit.

In februari 2015 verschijnt het tweede studioalbum van de band, Smoke + Mirrors. Eerder dat jaar is ook Shots als single uitgebracht. De band werkt in 2016 mee aan de soundtrack van de film Suicide Squad via de track Sucker For Pain. Later leveren ze voor de film Passenger het nummer Levitate af, dat in de Tipparade blijft steken. In januari van 2017 wordt Believer de zesde Top 40-hit. Eind april wordt die track opgevolgd door Thunder, waarmee ze hun tweede top 10-hit in ons land scoren. Terwijl Thunder nog in de lijst staat wordt Whatever It Takes door Radio 538 uitgeroepen tot Alarmschijf.

Begin 2018 wordt Next To Me de volgende single van de groep. In juni maakt de band samen met de Noorse dj Kygo de track Born To Be Yours. Van het album Origins verschijnen Natural, Bad Liar en Birds als singles.
