Giveon Dezmann Evans is beter bekend onder zijn artiestennaam Givēon. In 2018 bracht hij onder eigen beheer zijn debuutsingle Garden Kisses uit. Hij werd bij het grote publiek bekend door zijn samenwerking met Drake op de track Chicago Freestyle in 2020. In datzelfde jaar verscheen zijn debuut-EP Take Time, deze werd door muziekcritici goed ontvangen net als de tracks Stuck On You en Like I Want You. Bij de Grammy Award van 2021 wist hij een nominatie binnen te slepen voor Beste R&B-album met Take Time.
In maart 2021 verschijnt het verzamelalbum When It’s All Said And Done...Take Time. Dit album is een combinatie van zijn eerste twee EP’s en nieuw werk. Zo is de track Heartbreak Anniversary, dat in februari 2021 werd gelanceerd, daarvan afkomstig. In dezelfde maand is hij te horen op de track Peaches, wat een samenwerking is met Justin Bieber en Daniel Caesar.
