Galantis zijn Christian Karlsson en Linus Eklöw. Het duo werkt sinds 2012 samen. Beide hebben ook hun eigen projecten. Karllson stond in 2012 al een keertje in de Top 40 met Paddling Out. Samen met Andrew Wyatt en Pontus Winnberg vormt hij ook het duo Miike Snow. Karlsson werkte ook samen met Pontus Winnberg als productieduo, waarvan When You Look At Me en AM To PM (Christina Milian) en Toxic (Britney Spears) voorbeelden zijn. Eklöw is ook actief als Style Of Eye en werkte mee aan I Love It (van Icona Pop en Charli XCX). Eind 2013 is Smile de eerste single.

Na You, dat in 2014 verschijnt, is Runaway (U & I) hun Top 40-debuut dat één week op nummer 1 komt.

In 2015 verschijnen de tracks Gold Dust en Peanut Butter Jelly als voorlopers van hun debuutalbum Pharmacy, dat in juni verkrijgbaar is.

In het voorjaar van 2016 laten ze dat album achter zich met No Money dat in de Top 40 de vijfde plaats bereikt. In september wordt die track opgevolgd door een samenwerking met Hook N Sling, Love On Me, dat de derde Top 40-hit van het duo wordt. Pillowtalk en Rich Boy blijven in 2017 in de Tipparade steken. In mei van dat jaar scoren ze met Hunter hun vijfde Dance Smash bij Radio 538.

The Aviary is het tweede album van het Zweedse duo dat in september van 2017 verschijnt. Tegelijk met de release verschijnt ook de video bij Girls On Boys, hun samenwerking met Rozes.
