Britse band die al sinds medio jaren 60 bezig is. Ze spelen voornamelijk bluesmateriaal en stappen al snel over op rock.

Als Lindsey Buckingham en Stevie Nicks halverwege de jaren 70 de band komen versterken, begint het succes pas echt.

Het album Rumours uit 1977 is met 30 miljoen verkochte exemplaren één van de bestverkochte albums ooit.

De single Go Your Own Way gaat over de spanningen binnen de getrouwde stellen Mick en Christine en Stevie en Lindsey en bereikt de eerste plaats in de Top 40 en ook Don't Stop en Dreams worden grote hits.

De hits blijven komen en in 1987 is de band weer sterk vertegenwoordigd in de Top 40 met hits als Big Love, Little Lies en Everywhere. Buckingham verlaat de band maar keert medio jaren 90 weer terug. De band is vandaag de dag nog steeds actief. Het laatste studioalbum verscheen in 2003 en heet Say You Will.

De band treedt nog steeds regelmatig op.
