De in Tetney geboren Gabriella Henderson eindigt in het negende seizoen van de Britse X-Factor op de zesde plaats. Haar prestatie levert haar in 2012 een platencontract bij Syco op. Ze mag met muzikale duizendpoot Ryan Tedder aan de slag. Tedder, zanger bij OneRepublic, schrijft en produceert voor onder meer Jennifer Lopez, Leona Lewis, Beyoncé, James Morrison en Kelly Clarkson.
In 2014 debuteert Henderson met de single Ghosts die direct de eerste plaats weet te bereiken in de Britse hitlijst. In de Top 40 staat Ghosts vijf weken genoteerd maar blijft het steken op nummer 37.Ook verschijnt haar debuutalbum Chapter One.
De zangeres is in 2015 te zien in het voorprogramma van de 38 shows van Take That en later ook te horen op de track Glitterball van Sigma. In het najaar gaat ze op tournee door het Verenigd Koninkrijk en werkt ze mee aan Here For You van Kygo.
In 2019 maakt ze met Jax Jones de track This Is Real.
