Adam Dyment begint aan de hand van producer Switch (bekend van M.I.A. en Beyoncé). Als Duke Dumont maakt hij verschillende remixen, waarbij die van The Fear van Lily Allen de bekendste is.

Op 31 maart 2013 brengt hij de single Need U (100%) uit, waarop ook A*M*E te horen is. De single staat 11 weken in de Top 40 en bereikt de 18e plaats.

In 2014 kondigt Dumont aan dat er een compleet album in de maak is, maar blijft Dumont EP's uitbrengen. Na I Got U (met Jax Jones), dat blijft steken in de Tipparade is Won't Look Back zijn volgende single. Die track is afkomstig van de EP Blasé Boys Club Pt. 1, waarvan later in 2015 ook Ocean Drive afkomstig is. Dat wordt in maart 2016 zijn tweede Top 40-hit.duke
