Disclosure wordt gevormd door de twee broers Howard en Guy Lawrence. In 2010 brengen ze met Offline Dexterity hun eerste single uit. Twee jaar later wordt Latch, waarop Sam Smith de vocalen voor zijn rekening neemt, hun grote doorbraak in het Verenigd Koninkrijk. Het resulteert in een wereldtournee waarmee ze 40 verschillende steden bezoeken. In de vroege zomer van 2013 komen we de heren ook tegen in de Tipparade met You & Me, waarop ook Eliza Doolittle te horen is.

In 2015 maken ze een nieuwe track samen met Gregory Porter, Holding On, waarmee ze twee weken in de Top 40 staan. Ondertussen komt ook Omen, een nieuwe samenwerking met Sam Smith, in de lijst.
Eind september verschijnt het tweede studioalbum Caracal, waarvan Magnets (met Lorde) nadrukkelijk onder de aandacht komt.

Na bijna vijf jaar stilte treden ze in 2020 weer op de voorgrond via een samenwerking met Khalid; Intentions. Tondo is daarna een zomerse samenwerking met de uit Kameroen afkomstige Eko Roosevelt.
