Cheat Codes is een trio bestaande uit Matthew Russel, Trevor Dahl en Kevin Ford. De drie heren hebben allemaal een verschillende achtergrond qua muziek. Van hip-hop, rock, pop tot aan folk. Met zijn drieën maken ze vooral anthem- en tropical house, naast pop. De heren komen uit Los Angeles, California. Ze willen graag mensen over de hele wereld inspireren met hun liefde voor muziek en wat ze doen.

Ze brachten al eerder een nummer uit genaamd Visions, dat niet doorbrak in ons land. In september 2015 hebben de heren het nummer Hold On uitgebracht, een samenwerking met de Dj en producer Moguai. Dit nummer werd door Radio 538 uitgeroepen tot Dance Smash.

In 2016 werken de heren samen met een ander trio, Kris Kross Amsterdam op Sex, een remake van de nummer 1-hit uit 1992 van Salt-N-Pepa, Let's Talk About Sex.In augustus staan de heren met Let Me Love You (Turn me On) opnieuw in de Top 40 als ze de top 3-hit van Kevin Lyttle, Turn Me On, onder handen nemen. Ook werken ze mee aan Shed A Light, een samenwerking met Robin Schulz en David Guetta, waarmee ze 14 weken in de Top 40 staan.

In april 2017 leveren ze samen met Demi Lovato het nummer No Promises af dat in de Top 40 blijft steken op nummer 25. In het najaar maken ze samen met Fetty Wap en Cvbz de track Feels Great. In de zomer van 2018 maken ze samen met Little Mix de track Only You.
