Canadese rockzanger, tekstdichter en gitarist, geboren op 5 november 1959 in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. Begint zijn muzikale carièrre op zijn vijftiende als leadzanger van de Canadese glamrockband Sweeney Todd.
Doorbraak vindt plaats in 1977 wanneer hij Jim Vallance (ex-drummer van Prism) tegen het lijf loopt. Deze ontmoeting groeit uit tot een vruchtbare songwriters samenwerking.
Op 09-07-1988 breekt Bryan Adams een Portugees record als er 30.000 mensen naar zijn show in Lissabon komen. Als gaste ontvangt hij de Britse zangeres Bonnie Tyler. Zij zingt Straight from the Heart (B-kant van Total Eclipse of the Heart) uit 1983 [Columbia 38-03906] en No Way to Treat a Lady uit 1986 [Columbia IC4-7167]
Bryan Adams is te zien als tankstation-bediende in de film Pink Cadillac (1989).
In 1991 scoort Adams een enorme hit met de single Everything I Do (I Do It For You). De single is afkomstig uit de film Robin Hood, Prince Of Thieves. De single bereikt de eerste plaats in de Top 40 en staat maar liefst 11 weken op nummer 1.
Een record wat in 1994 werd verbroken door Marco Borsato.
