Bon Jovi wordt opgericht in 1983 en bestaat uit zanger Jon Bon Jovi, gitarist Richie Sambora, toetsenist David Bryan en drummer Tico Torres. In 1986 heeft de rockband uit New Jersey hun eerste hit met You Give Love A Bad Name. Een reeks van vele hits volgt.

In 2000 scoort de band hun eerste nummer 1-hit in de Top 40 met de single It's My Life. Daarna wordt het succes langzaam minder en wordt de top 10 alleen in 2002 nog gehaald met de single Everyday en in 2005 met Have A Nice Day.

In 2014 stapt Richie Sambora om onbekende redenen uit de band. In 2016 verschijnt het laatste album van de band, This House Is Not For Sale, maar er worden geen hits meer gescoord.
