In de jaren tachtig is Christophe Le Friant als dj terug te vinden achter de draaitafels, toen nog als Chris The French Kiss. In 1998 ontleent hij zijn huidige naam, Bob Sinclar, aan de film Le Magnifique. De dj kenmerkt zich op dat moment door het veelvuldig gebruiken van samples. Zijn eerste album, Paradise, verschijnt ook dat jaar. In 2003 komt hij met Kiss My Eyes niet verder dan de Tipparade. Twee jaar later komt zijn Love Generation op de tweede plaats van de Top 40. Daarna volgen hits als World Hold On (Children Of The Night), Rock This Party, What I Want, Together en La La Song die allemaal de top 10 weten te bereiken.

In 2006 krijgt de Fransman een notering in de DJ Mag Top 100 met een 52e plaats; vijf jaar later is hij opgeklommen tot nummer 33. In 2014 is hij, na acht jaar, niet meer in de top 100 terug te vinden.

In 2012 is Rock The Boat zijn tiende hit, waarmee hij ook zijn tiende Dance Smash scoort. Het nummer, waarop ook Pitbull, Dragonfly en Fatman Scoop meewerken, komt niet verder dan de 33e plaats. In 2016 verschijnt Someone Who Needs Me.

Nadat de school van zijn kind hem in contact brengt met Robbie Williams maken de twee samen in 2019 de track Electrico Romantico.
