William Thomas Medley is een Amerikaans zanger. Hij groeide op in een muzikaal gezin. Zijn vader was bandleider en speelde saxofoon en zijn moeder zong en speelde piano. Zijn eerste muzikale stappen deed hij in het kerkkoor en op school.

Vanaf 1963 vormde hij samen met Bobby Hatfield het duo de Righteous Brothers. Bekende hits zijn You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin en Unchained Melody. Hun grootste succes was tussen 1963 tot en met 1975.

Hij timmerde ook solo aardig aan de weg. Hij scoorde samen met Jennifer Warnes een wereldhit met het nummer (I've Had) The Time of My Life van de soundtrack van de film Dirty Dancing. Voor deze soundtrack won hij een Grammy Award.

Medley en Hatfield herenigden zich in 1981 en bleven optreden tot Hatfield’s dood in 2003.

Vanaf laat in de jaren 2000 begon Medley te touren met zijn dochter McKenna en haar 3-Bottle Band. In 2014 verscheen zijn memoires genaamd The Time of My Life: A Righteous Brother's Memoir.

In januari 2016 kondigde hij aan de Righteous Brothers nieuw leven in te blazen, samen met de nieuwe zanger Bucky Heard.
