Na de successen met Swedish House Mafia blijkt dat Axwell en Sebastian Ingrosso muzikaal nog lang niet klaar zijn met elkaar. In 2014 vormen ze officieel het duo Axwell ^ Ingrosso. Wat met Can’t Hold Us Down nog niet lukt, komt in december van dat jaar Something New in de Tipparade. On My Way, dat in het voorjaar van 2015 verschijnt, weet een bescheiden hit te worden. De opvolger, Sun Is Shining, staat later dat jaar 20 weken in de Top 40.
In 2017 is Axwell ^ Ingrosso terug met I Love You, waarop ook Kid Ink te horen is. In mei verschijnt de ep More Than You Know, waarvan de titeltrack door Radio 538 uit wordt geroepen tot Dance Smash, hun vierde. In december wordt Dreamer, waarop Trevor Guthrie tekent voor de vocalen, de volgende single. Met de Britse zanger Rømans pakken ze eind juni 2018 voor de zesde keer de Dance Smash met Dancing Alone.
