Miracles was oorspronkelijk een instrumentaal nummer. De muziek werd geschreven voor een reclamefilmpje ter promotie van de Mini Cooper, waarin een Mini spectaculair door de straten van Amsterdam scheurt. Het nummer werd opgenomen als Miracles (A Mini Epic) door de Britse groep Oppo, die zelf de hoofdrol speelde ion de commercial. De single werd geen hit. Pas nadat de heren van Oppo een tekst bij het nummer schreven en het nummer bij de Italiaans-Britse zangeres Anita Garbo belandde, werd het wel een hit. In Nederland althans, in de rest van de wereld wist het Sparks-achtige nummer geen potten te breken.
