Alexandra Stan is een zangeres die op 10 juni 1989 wordt geboren in het Roemeense Constanța. Haar muziek wordt tot de eurodance gerekend.

Stan droomt al vanaf jonge leeftijd van een carrière in de muziek, doet aan veel wedstrijden mee en wint ook vaak. In 2009 wordt ze ontdekt tijdens een festival. Haar eerste single Lollipop krijgt veel aandacht, maar wordt in Nederland geen hit.

Met de opvolger Mr. Saxobeat is het in 2011 wel raak en wordt de tweede plaats gehaald, waar ze vier weken doorbrengt achter Happiness van Alexis Jordan. Later dat jaar wordt ook Get Back ASAP een hit, voorzien van een vergelijkbare beat als in Mr. Saxobeat.
