Britse New romantic-punkgroep, opgericht in 1977 in Londen, Engeland: Adam Ant (zang, gitaar), geboren als Stuart Leslie Goddard op 03-11-1954 in Marylebone, Londen, Engeland. Overige bandleden: Marco Pirroni (gitaar; ex Siouxsie & The Banshees), Kevin Mooney (basgitaar). Terry Lee Miall en Chris “Merrick” Hughes (beiden drums).
Mooney stapt op in 1981 en wordt vervangen door Gary Tibbs. De drie oorspronkelijke leden van de groep, gitarist Matthew Ashman (overleden op 22-11-1995 aan de gevolgen van diabetes), bassist Leigh Gorman en drummer Dave Barbarossa, formeren in januari 1980 de Britse newwaveband Bow Wow Wow.
Adam Ant gaat vanaf 2 mei 1982 solo verder. Hij heeft dit besluit genomen nadat Miall en Tibbs zijn groep hebben verlaten. Acteert in de films Slam Dance (1987) en World Gone Wild (1988) en is te zien in verschillende televisieseries.
