De 2 Brothers on the 4th Floor zijn de producers/dj's Martin en Bobby Boer, die in 1991 onder deze naam hun eerste internationale hit scoren. De groepsnaam verwijst naar de Utrechtse flat waar de broers zijn begonnen. Op het podium bestaat de formatie sinds 1993 uit zangeres Desiree Manders (Des'Ray) en rapper René Phillips (D-Rock).

Na Never Alone (nummer 2 in 1994, in punten hun grootste hit) volgt de enige nummer 1-hit voor de groep: Dreams staat in de zomer van 1994 vier weken bovenaan de Top 40. Daarna volgen nog acht top 10-hits. Rond het jaar 2000 is het hitsucces over.

Vanaf 2014 beginnen Des'Ray en D-Rock weer op te treden tijdens vele 90's-feesten in binnen- en buitenland.
