Phonogram had veel geld uitgegeven aan Drama en omdat de verkoop van de lp moeizaam verliep, was een hit dus bijzonder welkom. Peter Koelewijn werd aangetrokken om een hit te schrijven voor de groep. Met Mary's Mamma scoorde Drama in juni 1972 inderdaad een hitje in de Nederlandse hitlijsten. Maar de groep weigerde vervolgens de hit live te spelen tijdens de vele optredens in het land in die tijd. Het was geen echte Dramasound, vonden ze!
