"Gone Too Soon" is het negende en tevens de laatste single van zijn album "Dangerous". Het is ook de minst succesvolle single van het album, Het nummer is opgedragen aan Ryan White, een jong slachtoffer van aids en een vriend van Michael Jackson. Jackson bracht het nummer tijdens de eerste inauguratie van president Bill Clinton op 20 januari 1993 ten gehore, waarbij hij het belang onderstreepte van onderzoek naar een geneesmiddel tegen aids. Op de herdenkingsceremonie van Michael Jackson werd "Gone Too Soon" gezongen door Usher, die het nummer opdroeg aan Michael.
